A 'tog' is an industry standard name used for measuring the warmth of a UK duvet. The higher the tog rating or tog values, the warmer the duvet.
Togs are measured in units of thermal resistance. In other words, if a duvet has a tog rating or value of 4.5 then it should be lighter in fill weight and would be more likely be used in the summer months.
At the other end of the scale, a duvet with a tog rating of 13.5 should have more filling, which in most cases makes the duvet heavier and would be used in the colder months of the year.
